This is what I found tonight w/ Vista

Hi! Version 4.02 is great! I FINALLY got to play with it at a show. It worked awesome almost the entire night. The last 3 songs of the night experenced a lag in the disply lyrics. Not sure why it waited til then to mess up but it did. Do you think it is a glitch with Vista or could it be something else???

The other thing I found was when I tried to make the Hoster display float (not the external one) . Here is what I did and what happened.
I went to tools, show display, then preview to unlock the on computer screen so I could move it or resize it. It says you need to restart Hoster after changing this. So, I unchecked the lock, clicked the close button then closed Hoster. When I tried to open Hoster after this it popped up a 2x2 white box that had an error that said something about not being able to unlock. It gave me to options, either "help" or "cancel". I clicked cancel and it popped up again and again. Every time I clicked cancel it would come up for about 10 times then it would finally open Hoster. The only way to prevent this little box was to keep the on computer display locked. Don't understand. Maybe you can help.

I understand you all are working very diligently to correct all the bugs so don't think I am complaining, I'm NOT. I'm simply pointing out the probs I've found so you can look into it and help me fix what I am doing wrong or fix what Hoster is doing wrong.
I can continue using this version provided I get the delayed lyrics fixed asap otherwise I have to go back to 3.21 til 4.03 comes out.

Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Thank you and keep up the GREAT work!!!

Jackie

P.S. Looking forward to the crossfade option!!!

Hey Jackie,
Every time I unlocked the preview winow it worked. I normally keep it locked.

1. Uninstall 4.02

2. Restart your computer

3. Reinstall 4.02

This should clear up your problem which I've never seen by the way.

I hope this helps

Jim

P.S. Crossfade is down the list a little but will be included soon. They have to get the Import Video feature going first, hang tight.

Ok, will try the uninstall, reboot and reinstall however that isn't my biggest concern. My concern is what would make it play fine ALL night then the last 3 songs of the night have a lyrics delay problem??? Could my machine just be too hot? Or is it Hoster or ???? I have no clue!

Thanks for all you do! You guys (and gals?) are great!

Jackie

There are random problems with 4.02 as yet. MTU is working on these and will get 4.03 out soon to fix as much as can be.

Most likely the Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer used in the Show Display. We've had to abandon this and return to our older Window and Lyrics code. It will still look the same as 4.02 with all the new features, but all the problems are gone; out-of-sync, locking when Dur: hits 00.0, locking in CUE status, and more... are fixed.

Version 4.03 Beta 3 is now out for testing. We hope to release it by next Friday... or Wednesday Lord willing.

Thank you for all you do! I played with Hoster all day and figured out that after playing a period of time a lag in the lyrics will occur...however, by messing with it I also figured out a temorary cure til 4.03 comes out. When a lag occurs I can simply shut down Hoster and open it back up and the lag is gone. Works for me for now !!!

Keep up the AWESOME work!

Jackie (a VERY happy customer!!!)

Just for the sake of trying it out. Do this open Hoster twice and when the lyrics lag try switching to the other one. Don't know if it will work but if it does it should be more fun than rebooting.
