When you Build the database you have to tell it where the files are. In the Build Database window click the Select Folder button and browse to the correct folder on the external drive.
If after setting the correct folder and running the build it still lists 0 songs, then you will need to go to the folder with Windows Explorer and click the Compatability Files button. That should then allow the database to work.

We are working on Hoster 3.319 that will move the Songs.mdb database and all files out from under /Program Files/ in the path. Turns out Vista absolutely won't let you edit or change a file with the above in its path.
Hoping to release it next Monday. ![]() ![]() |

We THINK... the problem with Vista was our Songs.mdb was under C:\Program Files\... like it always has been and working file on 2000/XP. However, Vista doesn't allow any "editable working files" to be in this path. Thus, unless you disabled your UAC bit, that overrides Vista's security preventing songs.mdb from being modified, then it wouldn't built it.
V3.321 now creates a C:\MTU\Hoster folder for all working files, including the songs.mdb. shortly we'll know 3.321 solves this problem or not as we are testing 3.321 right now for this. |
