Hoster !

When I am building my database I am getting a warning:

Field 'songs.MfgName' cannot be zero-length string. (3315)
Would you like to see help?

I click yes; it finishes the database, saying it successfully created my files. Then it was saying that it could not find jeterr.chm file,, woould i like to find it myself.

This last message is not coming up now, but the first one is. Any ideas how to fix this?

hoster!

The exact message for the second box says:

Cannot find the jeterr40chn Help File. Check to see if the file exists on your disk. If it doesn't, you need to reinstall it.

Thanks,

After searching the forum I could not find any reference to jeterr40 though I did find a few jeterr35's. From what I could glean it seems that the jeterr errors are database related.

What seemed to work for those was:

1) Go to the C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases. Find the file songs.mdb, and delete this file. Hoster will rebuild this automaticaly when you reopen Hoster

and/or

2) If you are storing your KMA's in a location other than the default folder(C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Songs), make sure that the location you do use is in the top spot in the "Build Songs Database" (Probably should do this before doing #1 above). Can't hurt to remove any unused locations from this list.

and/or

3) Re-instal Hoster

None of these things will harm your computer so it can't trying them.
Hope something here will help

Sam

jeterr40.chm

Yes that is what it said. I reinstalled everything and i am still getting the 2 errors.

one being:

Field 'Songs.MfgName' cannot be a zero-length string. (3315)

Would you like to see help?

Yes No

I click yes and it sucessfully creates the database and then comes up with error 2:

Cannot find the jeterr40.chm file. Do you want to try and find this yourself?

I clcik yes, but to no avail, can't find the file.

I appreciate any help that I can get on this.

Thanks,

Pete

This is telling you you have one or more song files that have nothing in the Brand Name field. You will need to find them, delete those files through the Hoster Edit tool and then re-import them and be sure to assign a Brand Name and Disc-id when you do.

If you chech the folder where your KMA files are located you will probably see a higher number of files are there than what the database reported when it completed.

This help file that the computer is looking for is a Microsoft Office help file for Access. If you do not have MS Office or at least MS Access installed on your computer you will not be able to see this help.

Delete the songs.mdb file and then open Hoster and rebuild the database.
