Lost .kmas recovered but with exceptions...

After recovering 10,000 plus files with Paretologic yesterday, I have found that certain disc brands, like Pioneer specifically, appeared to have been recovered but on a song search, I received a message that that particular song was NOT found..The disc has to be reloaded. Seems like 90% of my Pioneers were recovered but require reloading. Will work through my whole collection to determine what actually is going to require reloading.

I feel like I have a brand new car but have to keep the old one in case the new one breaks down on me!

Am I going to have to worry everytime I start hoster up to do a show that my music isn't going to be there for me? If I have to haul a player and all the discs around JUST IN CASE, it was kind of a useless exercise to have spent the last month uploading CDGs only to have them run off into cyberspace somewhere.

Karen this is not a normal situation. MTU and Hoster has a very good track record and is the best there is in computerized karaoke programs. The problems have appear because of trying to get fully Vista compatible/compliant so it will work correctly. This has been a huge amount of work, expense and growing pains for MTU. I know because I am one of the beta testors for them and we have been through a lot of beta versions trying to get all the bugs out. Sometimes we miss some. All of these problems are being looked at and are actually effecting only small numbers of current users.
I would suggest you hang on and wait. There should be another update (free to you) coming out soon that will hopefully fix this and other bugs that have popped up.

I appreciate the work that all of you have put into it - I put off computer conversion for a long time ... and it seems like when I have finally taken the leap, paid for the software, paid for a great computer system to put it on, and spent all this time (hundreds of hours), that I've joined MTU Hoster at a bad time. Having a hard time convincing hubby, who sits right now reentering discs, that we've made the right decision going with MTU/H.

I have great hopes that we'll eventually be able to run this without worries, like a lot of people with older versions of MTU/H. Just a little gun-shy right now, and out of fear, have to put off our big adventures into computer hosting until I'm sure that we'll be able to do what we've said we'll do!

Mr dd I did find something on the c drive but what do I do with it now? How do I extract the info from the search window. Its not much just a couple songs, buttons-add-kma-bookid, buttons play all kma files, dhost merge kma files update kma file header. This might be the demo stuff I have no idea
