i think admin. is the only one that can help you with that, and hopefully they can help you out before your show tonight..

I "feel" your sense of urgency!!
I presume it is the backup PC that is asking for the A drive.
Sounds like you need to change the bootup settings in the BIOS - can you do that?
When you say you have a disc I assume you mean a HDD. Is it in the back up PC??
Let's know how you get on.
Good Luck!!

If you are using the current version, then you can find it on the Support page among the downloads.

I am assuming you have the installation program for Hoster 3.316 on "disc" (CDROM?).

To install, your computer must be on-line, or use a floppy disc (drive a and take the floppy to another computer that is on-line to complete your registration, then bring it back to the computer you are installing Hoster on. By your computer "asking for the a: drive" says the computer is not on-line.

If you can put your computer on-line and allow Hoster's installation program to communicate with our web site (no other site is involved), our software will install and register in a few minutes from start to finish.

I have cleared your Hoster installation from one of your computers so you can install on your third one. I don't understand the urgency when you have it already installed on your second computer.

You are eligible to install Hoster 3.318, which you can download from our web site at: http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm

If you don't have your Registration Code for Hoster, you can see it in your MTU Store Account. Go to our web site http://www.mtu.com/ and click the Login link at the top. Once logged in, click the My Account link to find your RegCode.

thank you

I did what you said. Now I know what to do. I did not know I had to be online in order to download it again. Thank you so much. Although I had to give up my show last night because I didn't know this, now I know. Thank you... Can I do the same thing when I get my old laptop back also... And what is different about the upgrade?

I'm sorry you had to give up your show. We do our best to answer, and I did within 6 hours after business hours. That's actually very good support. I wish we could respond instantly, but its just not feasible. Just a warning, whenever you plan on updating Hoster on your show computer, give you and us 4-6 days before you would loose income. i.e. don't upgrade the day of a show. That's unsafe and unreasonable. Thanks for considering this warning.

To install on another computer, you will need to create a Ticket assigned to SUPPORT, explaining your needs. Then, our staff will delete your Registration Record. Please read on to help us do this...

If you download Hoster 3.318, then remove it from the computer you will be replacing with your Laptop, we'll see that and can quickly delete the "removed" registration record for that "removed" computer.

You can read about the upgrades by running Hoster, click Help on the menu bar, then the Check for Updates command. It will bring you to our web site upgrades page for Hoster. This includes a list of most of the changes made in each version. There are some "under the hood" upgrades we don't bother reporting as users wouldn't understand the value. One thing 3.318 has is the new code to report that you have removed it... IF the computer it is removed from is on-line to the Internet so it can connect to our web site. This is EXTREMELY helpful for us to meet your needs.
