On Line Database

Good Evening,

I have a regular subcription to Sound Choice disc. New SC disc.... one every month (or when the new SC disc come out).

When I go to load the new disc onto my laptop, I have to wait to down load the track (Song & Artist) info. Does it take a lot of time to have the online data base updated? Is there any thing I can to to assist? I just want to.....Open Hoster, put in the new CD+G, hit the on line data base feature,....and go.

I received the new SC Disc (Spotlight 8998 & 8999) about a week a go. I am waiting to put the disc on my computer until the data base is updated.

The Online database is currently using FreeDB, which is a free cd listing program that has all types of CDs in their database added by individual users of many different programs. MTU does not have any control over how fast this is updated and submission from Hoster is not incorperated at this point. They have been trying to work a deal with one of the commercial listings but no word on that yet.

Have to wait? You are waiting for the database to update before you import your disc? Why not just type it in manually & have it done?
