Need Help Please
I had installed version 3.006 on my computer. Everything was working fine up until last Saturday. In the middle of doing a karaoke show I received a message that read program database cannot be found. I tried to close the program and reopen it, but I kept receiving the same message.
Now I have unistalled the Hoster program and tried to reinstall it but when it comes to the registration number, I get a message that tells me, there is an error with my registration number please read below. However, there is no message to read. Now I am afraid I have lost everything. I bought Suite 4 and I cannot get any of the programs to open. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jeanne |

It's been a long time since I used 3.006 but more likely than not your database became corrupt. The quick and easy fix would be to change the songs backup.mdb file in the database folder to songs.mdb, or the slightly longer but maybe easier fix would be to rebuild the database.
First thing I would try to get Hoster running again would be to try and do a restore to a point before you uninstalled it, If that works rebuild your database. I haven't seen that error mssage in a long time but if memory seves correctly I think it's telling you that you put in an invalid registration number. If you typed it in that is probably the case, it's very easy to type incorrectly. It's best if you can copy and paste from your original email. If none of this works I'd suggest submitting a ticket to support Sam

Thank You
Thank you so much for your help. I will definately try your suggestions. Even though I have had the program for a while it took me a while to finally find the time to get it going for me. Thank you so much.

To rebuild the Songs.mdb database, run Hoster, click the Tools menu, then the Build Songs Database command. I would recommend this as all your imported KMA files will be indexed.
