If the cdg has 16 tracks but the database only shows 15 songtitles it should show a sixteenth track with title and artist labelled "unknown". Just change the unknowns to the correct info. You can change the incorrect information the same way or use tools/edit songs to make corrections.

There have been a few cases where folks had problems getting the last track to show but I think most of those were with multisession disks (which sgb is not) and they were not limited to a single cdg.

Have you checked the cdg in your player or in Windows Media Player to make sure there are in fact 16 tracks? I happen to have that one (Cher) and mine only shows 15 tracks on the label and WMP only shows 15 tracks .

I just looked up sgb10 & 29 (that you mentioned over in new requests) at doowop.com and they show both of those disks as only having 15 tracks.

Could be that SGB changed their minds but forgot to change the label. Have you tried looking at it in Microstudio and see how many tracks it recognizes?
ALso look at it with Windows Explorer and see how many tracks.

i had problems with my microstudio that i kinda quit using it, i havent used it in about a year but anyway i went to a karaoke sight and look through all the sgb's thats how i found out that i have songs that are not in my songbook and some songs in my songbook that i never had..this is probably due to kjpro's database..but anyway i am re-importing them and had to go though each one of them..i'm just having problems with sgb's and priddis..i think the rest of my songs are ok..( i hope ) 8,400 and some song..

Hey All,
A lot of SGB's 16th tracks have a semi-patriotic medley "We are the Champions", "God Bless America" and "We will Rock You"
Some have a lot more than 15 songs on.
Checked mine, they list all the tracks that are on the discs.
I do remember when Hoster first came out there were discrepancies between their database and SGB's listings and I also remember having to import them manually, because of this.
I thought SGB had gone into liquidation, so I can only suggest that someone, somewhere has distributed SGB discs and has changed the database wrongly.
Regards from across the pond.
Garry.

Just checked the listing on my SGB10, "You Better Sit Down" doesn't appear and my number 8 is "The Beat Goes On" and all the rest are numbered accordingly to 15.
So looks like we have a completely different issue from the original.
I've had my copy maybe 4-5 years.
And I bought it from Doowop in the States

Same situation with mine.

This is actually the second SGB0010 I've owned. I bought my first about 7 years ago and discovered it had some serious problems with the wipes being way out of sync on several of the tracks. At some point SGB re-released the disk with those issues corrected an i purchased the replacement. I've either tossed or given the first one away so I can't check it.
I'm thinking Billyo may have gotten one of those first released disks.

Of course utimately back to the original question. If there are 16 tracks on the disk, Hoster should show 16 tracks tracks in the import list

ive checked most of the on line karaoke carriers and sgb's disck # 10 and the song on track #k 8 "you better sit down" is not on the disc..but the one i have has it and when i got done importing it played track 8 "the beat goes on " played..so now. just got a new song list maker ( song list creator ) and same thing they do have the song " you better sit down "..but anyway im gonna have to learn how to delete this song out of my songbook..and also i have a preddis cdg's (disc 1-10 ) that i am importing..the first cd( prsa 01 ) only the first song is correct..the rest song tittles are incorrect i had to play a bit of each song and typed in the right tittle..the rest of the cds are ok..( had to do all this caused of one incorrect track.)

Hey All,
I've played this disc on the computer with Microstudio and Hoster, there isn't any track 16 on either.
Played on 2 Karaoke machines, no track 16., so it doesn't look as if it's there.
As I said before I thought SGB were in liquidation, so whoever bought them or whoever is releasing these discs, isn't sticking to the listings.
I mentioned once before, in another forum ,that in England you can obtain whole catalogues free, but there are serious problems with these, because they are pirated.
I have a huge number of original discs, but can anyone ever say they truly know that the discs they own are genuine?
We all buy from well known sources, but if you read the host of threads, there are so many dubious sites out there.

Hey Billyo,
The disc I was talking about was SGB10, had it about the same time as you, from Doowop.
Just checked SGB29. It has 17 tracks.
No 16 is listed as "Let's Make Love" No 17 is "Unlisted" , in the Hoster database, but is, in fact, another copy of "Let's Make Love".
The CD label only lists 16 numbers.
If they did go bust, no one needs to wonder why

well i guessed all our sgb's are copies ( wonder who's got the original copies )..i think the reason why our cdg's ( sgb's ) has diff. songs on them was not to violate the copy righted laws..they have to add songs here and there..oh well..

Hey billyo,
Can't see any reason why they would bother about copyright, they seem to have been a "fly by night" organization.
I have a small set of Music Maestro discs "Hollywood to Broadway" which won't play on any karaoke, DVD or CD player, which I had to duplicate on the computer.
The copies play fine on any machine.
The originals were all bought from a reputable firm, so I believe there is a lot of illegal stuff going on and even the reputable firms are either being taken in or in cahoots.
This again raises the question "What the hell is legal in the karaoke world, and how do you check"?
Regards from across the pond.
Garry
