Instead of opening the file in Excel, Open Excel with a blank spreadshhet and Import the data from the file. This will put the data into separate cells instead of all in one cell.

Thanks for the info but it didn't work. I selected a viewer (excel) created a songbook then opened Excel and imported the file just created (in a new blak spreadsheet) and still all the data in one cell.

If you have microsoft word processer you will be able to import your word files from hoster and have many more options such as two col etc. This is what I am using and it could not be easier.

Thanks for the info....I did find out how to use in excel. You have to open the file in word then save as a "plain" txt file (not rich text). then import to excel. Works great...I needed the options to change items globally and sort data quickly. All my song names were not in the same format when imported into hoster so excel makes it abit easier to minipulate the data at this point. I'm editing the song names and artists as I weed out duplicates so next time it won't need as much massaging.
