Please Help!

Hi All,
I just got back from doing karaoke night, and I'm having what seems to be a problem with the sound card. I have a hoster rack pc (1 year old), and during some of the songs I play, the speakers will sound as if they're blown. I know it's not my jbl g2's, because I can play cd's just fine....It seems that a reboot will temporarily fix the problem, but, it seems to come back again.
Again, I really believe it must be the sound card since I can play cd's just fine, it's just my pc applications (hoster and otsdj) that are giving me trouble.
Do you think I need to update the drivers? if so, where do I get them? any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated since I have another gig this coming Saturday.
Thanks,
John

make sure the wave volume is all the way up in the sound card properties.

remember i said "wave volume" not volume control.

try lowering the wave volume and listen to the music, then raise it back up and listen again.

Try as Beavis stated.

Also I would update the Drivers for the Sound Card.

fuzz in speakers

i ran in to this a couple of times there are some drivers
that the hoster player do this with for some reason

i use the bpm player with the same drivers and it works ok

they should try a usb sound card see if that works
or try a new pci card since it is a rack unit

for some reason the driver will get corrupt while hoster is using the device
cant give you more on this since i dont spend time testing hoster anymore

Mike, your assessment of the problem is way off base.

Part On! states it is working, then it stops, and a reboot fixes it for a while. This is not a Hoster or any other software problem. He also states it is with Hoster and OtsDJ both. Something is changing, and software doesn't act this way.

Sounds to me like hardware is warming up, then it changes when used. Running audio through hardware will heat things up.

Problem fixed! I actually went out and bought a new sound card. I was using the original sound card that came in the Hoster rack pc, but, maybe after 1 year it was time to upgrade. Thanks for the help.....
