Hoster affects MicroStudio & Vogone

I reinstalled Hoster on my laptop only to find that the removal/reinstallation has completely disabled BOTH MicroStudio AND Vogone.... Hoster works just fine.

Are these products in any way linked?

I had this happen as well, reinstall the affected software, and it will work. There doesnt seem to be an explanation for it. I have been told this can't happen.

KHPro has also been disabled. Hoster works fine, but the rest of the suite is toast. The problem is that since this $2,700.00 laptop was purchased from MTU preloaded, I have no cd's that contain the programs to reload as a backup and no installation files were left on the laptop as a backup either.

The folders and the programs seem to still be in place, however none of them function, click on an icon and the hourglass appears for 1 second and just goes away....

I guess this explains why it's always best to just get your software on CD's that can be reloaded.

I am not sure, But I think if you go to the mtu store, and register with your accout. It should show all your purchases, and the registration and a like for downloading. It is worth a try......

Chip,
if you will post at http://forum.mtu.com/forumdisplay.php?f=84 you will likely get answered more quickly. as this is just an open hoster discussion form, and not a real problem forum.
