HELP! Need to install Hoster on a new computer and Upgrade to 3.30

I have two problems, both of which I have seen in several posts and they require help from the MTU side. I hate to be a pest, but I e-mailed support weeks ago and again days ago, but haven't gotten a response.

1) I purchased upgrade to 3.3, but can't get it to install. I get error messages stating that file is not a valid windows 32 application.

2) I'm in the process of changing computers and can't transfer Hoster to the new one due to the 2 computer restriction. I will remove it from the old computer, but apparently something needs to be reset inorder for me to get the program on the new computer. Can't wait any longer. HELP, I Need somebody, HELP, not just anybody, won't you ple-e-e-e-ease HELP Me-e-e-e-e?

Thanks!

Beavis,

Thanks for your reply. I am current on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and all updates, so that shouldn't be a part of the problem. Everything else on my system seem to be operating fine. ???

Waiting for MTU support to give me some help. I caught a thread in which they explained some systems had trouble with some part of the code and they were able to supply an upgrade version that solved the issue.

I also need to have my registration unlocked to move to another computer. I see that you are a veteran here, so I'll ask out of curiousity. Is it typically this difficult to get support? I've been weeks without so much as a response. I've been using the Hoster program for about nine months and love it. This is the first time I've needed assistance though and I'm at wit's end trying to get any help through MTU. Yours is the first communication I've gotten, so thanks again for the interest.

Ken

there is a critical registration forum that they monitor here

you should be able to uninstall hoster while being online and move to another computer.

you have to understand, MTU is not microsoft. they do there best to help.

they count on the forums to solve most of the problems. there are some very smart paople here who can help faster than MTU.

Beavis,

I use a desktop to do my CD importing and such and a laptop that I take around. I have downloaded the update on both, but neither recognizes it as a valid win32 app. I have a broadband cable connection and the download seems to go OK. It's just the install.

Thanks for the tip on the critical forum. I had in fact posted my woes there a couple of hours ago, but no response as yet. I am doing my best to be patient as I'm sure they are busy and the Holidays intervened. But I just had to cancel a show, which I have never done before. That's going to cost me more than the program, not to mention a ding in my reputation.

The forums are helpful and I have seen many instances where problems were solved by users and the moderator, (Bryan, I believe) seems very helpful from what I've seen. But I've e-mailed since before the Holidays, sent pm's yesterday and posted here and finally on the critical forum, so I have to admit I'm getting a little thin. I've probably sold a half dozen or so people on the Hoster program, and I don't want this to be the typical experience for them. I don't mean to go off here just explaining/venting.

Anyway, thanks for your input. I'll hope for the best and see what happens.

Ken
