Hoster Audio out
Hi,
How do I configure Hoster to output audio to the desired channels on my Gigaport USB audio card? |

I believe it's the other way around. You have to select the video card you want as the default audio player.
See if this will work: CONTROL PANEL SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES AUDIO SOUND PLAYBACK...click the arrow to open the drop down menu, and select your sound card. While you're in there, make sure the volume level is on full open. In the same SOUND PLAYBACK box, there's a VOLUME tab. Click on it and make sure all the volume sliders are all the way to the top, especially the .WAV one George |

Thank you George. I was hoping I would be offered the option of which two of my eight outputs I could select, but it only sends output to one and two which happen to be the headphone outputs as well.

It would almost seem that sending the input to a specific output(s) would have to be configured in the audio card, if at all.
I could be wrong, and wouldn't mind a bit if someone with more expertise in this area jumped in. ![]() George |

Not much expertise but I'll give it a go

If surround sound I would think that your headphones would default to the L/R channel you need to use anyway or you could configure it from within your soundcard software. Hard to tell without knowing more about the card. As long as this card is the default card for your computer I think any other configureing would have to be done from within the cards software. Maybe someone else has this card and can chime in. Sam

Sorry to cause confusion, it's a USB card, 8 discrete RCA outputs. 1 and 2 are also headphone/optical out. It's great for running DJ software. Send player 1 to outputs 3 and 4, player 2 to 5 and 6 and you can independently cue either player in the headphones. Software settings appear to be lacking though. I can't find ASIO control panel. Sounds and audio devices in control panel is very basic, no provision for specific outputs there.
