Hoster can't read drives after MS SP-2 installed

I fixed the problem by reinstalling Hoster, this also fixed the no read problem in Microstudio








I was using the Hoster Demo and it recognized my external drives and internal dvd/cd drive.
I have an exthd westell 160gb and a plextor 708uf.

There was no problem for Microstudio or hoster demo reading my 708uf. So, before purchasing and downloading Hoster (unlimited) I bit the bullet and downloaded MS service pack-2 (i had other software issues so didn't use it eariler) because it was a requiement for Hoster.

Now that SP-2 is onboard Microstudio and Hoster can't read either drive The 708uf or my internal dvd/cd drive. It does recognize the extHD though.

Windows explorer and the safely remove hardware device window list both external drives.
I tried changing usb ports and disabled norton virus protection. Don't know what else to try.

Any sugestions?

I tried Hoster and Micro Studio both in detect drives it didn't detect either drive. So, for the heck of it I tried reinstalling hoster only. It then detected my drives with no problems...in
Hoster and micro studio


In short the fix was reinstalling Hoster
