![]() Hi. My name is Matt Lemoine. I purchaced the hoster program about a year and a half ago and let me say AWSOME!! I have one question about upgrading. I Currently am running version 2.0 and want to upgrade to take advantage of new fetures. My question is for the last year and a half i have manually typed in and downloaded all new releases from pop hits monthly, soundchoice, ect.
if I upgrade to the newest version, will I loose all data of artists and song titles that I manually typed in data base and my song books? Thanks for your imput Matt Lemoine ![]() |

Once they are in there you won't loose them by upgrading. I have every upgrade in the last 2 1/2 years and have not lost anything. Just backup-backup-backup, you never know when a computer could crash. I have my kma files on 2 backup hard drives.

What you typed in for Title, Artist, etc. is saved in each KMA file header. This is used when you rebuild your Songs Databasre, which is used when you prepare your Song Book. You will loose nothing.
As Ilmcmains said, be sure you always have a backup hard drive with your KMA files. Just from the posts about computer hard drives crashing in these Forums you should get a taste of what others have gone through. Be sure you have a backup or you can lose all your KMA files. Hoster can't protect you from that. |

I have a question on back up hard drives. I, as of yet, do not have a back up of my hoster/kma files. I just....finally....finished downloading all of my discs, with the exception of a few UK Best VCD's , which won't import. The question is: What are the requirements for the back up drive? Anything specific, or different from my regular gig system???
