Error Installing 3.120

I have 5 Hoster licenses. I have installed the Hoster upgrade on 3 & 1 back-up. On the 4th Laptop I get the error; Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

Please help. I can't afford to have a laptop down...Wayne

I don't understand

Beavis, Why do you think this is a hard drive problem? I installed the HDDLIFE software mentioned in another thread & it thinks the harddrive is very healthy (for what it's worth)...Wayne

CRC Error

Wayne,
A CRC error means the data being read from memory or a location on your HDD has an error. If you were installing the program then the error was from that file or there may be an error in your memory where the file was expanding the files contained in the installation file.

First try downloading it again to see if that helps.

If not run a diagnostic program to check your memory.

As DDouglas stated, it is either the Hard drive, the Memory (most likely) or the CD you are using. One of the items are going bad or have gone bad to cause this type of Error.

Type the Error into Google and see how many items come up on it.

I guess time will tell if the laptop has a problem. HDDLIFE says my harddrive is healthy. Norton Utilities says the RAM is fine. I was running the Hoster file as an upgrade. Today, I totally uninstalled it and reinstalled it & it worked fine....Wayne
