Backup on MTU rackmount

Hi, I have purchased a mtu rackmount with the newest version of Hoster 3.110. It has all the options including the second 200 gig hard drive and backup software (Norton 9). All this was installed by MTU.My problem is how to backup to the second hard drive as if I understand it correctly it is hidden.
Then how does one access it if needed.? Sorry, I am not very computer literate so I would need the proper step by step instruction. I can't seem to find this addressed in the manual.
Thanks

Not familiar with Norton9, but would think if you opened the program, there should be a HELP tab that would open their manual.

Once you get in there, if it's anything like NORTON GHOST, which I use, look for instructions on how to either create a CLONE or a MIRROR IMAGE of your main hard drive.

A back up generally only copies the .exe files, and the programs would need re-installed, whereas CLONE or MIRROR IMAGE gives you a working copy.

MIRROR IMAGE is the faster of the two to work with.

Wish I could have been more help.

Backup On Mtu Rackmount

Thanks for that info George. Yes it is Norton Ghost that I have also (the version is "9") I have gone to the help tab and created a folder and did a backup (I will do a clone as per your instructions). The problem is I just can't see where the second drive is to put it into or then how to access it. It's probably something simple to do but I can't seem figure it out on my own. I may have to call MTU on this one.
Thanks

Click on MY COMPUTER. Your hard drives will be listed under HARD DISC DRIVES.

The following instructions apply to NORTON GHOST 2003. They may be somewhat different, but hopefully not so different that you can't workaround it.

When you open GHOST, click on GHOST ADVANCED.

Then click on CLONE, then NEXT.

You should now see two areas, SOURCE and DESTINATION, with both hard drives listed in each section.

Assuming your primary drive is C:, and the back up drive is D:, (use whatever hard disc drive designations you see in MY COMPUTER, highlight the primary drive in the SOURCE section, and highlight the destination drive in the DESTINATION section.

Click NEXT to continue on.

Hopefully yours is not so different that this won't at least give you a roadmap to follow.

Take care,

George
