Microstudio no longer works

Would someone have any idea why Micro no longer reads my cdg disk? It starts playing with the graphic and than the graphic freezes and the sound skips all the time?

It does this on all disk, I've remove and re-installed but same thing! my old Plextor 4824 is working fine with other software, very strrrange!!

All I did was to install a new audio card, an EMU-1212m from Creative Pro, but the problem was there even before with my previous Audigy card!
I've been doing all my updates on all my hardware or software on a regular bases

Micro detects my Pioneer DVD-108 (Master) as a CDG compatible drive but nothing will play, could that be a conflict I think I'll connect my Plextor alone on master and see... I did change my EDI cables from 40 to an 80-conductor IDE cable and change the DMA settings for ultra DMA's, but I had too for extracting video, which I often do... I did upgrade my ram from 512 to 1 gig

Beside that, one new software from Steinberg, Cubase SE but again, the problem has been there for a while, I think it's about the same time I changed my EDI cables and added the Pioneer drive It only does this when reading directly from the cd-rom not from the hard drive! All my Aspi drivers are ok (reported from Nero Tools)!

Is the Plextor still connected to your PC?
If so MS should be able to read from it once you click the Detect drives button.
I have a PC that has 2 Plextor and one Yamaha CDR-W (all scsi).
Hope this helps.

the problem is your accelerated audio card... in order for microstudio to run properly you need to change your direct X settings. I had the same problem with my creative labs card. change your audio acceleration to basic.. it will solve the problem

Thanks, you might be right, I forgot about this problem with the MTU software, I will try, but I might have to leave it at full for my multitrack projects, will see...

Mlepine,
This is the problem. Try updating to the very latest drivers also, that should also work.
