Importing batch files issue
I upgraded to 3.011 and started a batch file import of some zip files. The big issue here is they are of theMusic Maestro Velvet Elvis II series. the disc #'s work like this MMVE2-01. add another dash and 2 digits after for individual tracks. The zip file importer is not set up to recognize MMVE2-01 as a disc id, but rather sees it as a disc and track # and gives me an error saying I have more than 99 tracks assigned to one disc id. How can this be resolved? Do I have to wait for the next version?

Does anyone have a solution? Am I the only one with this problem?

Quote:
MMVE2_01-01 MMVE2_01-02 MMVE2_01-03 etc.....I think the zip importer is using the dash as a delimiter, so substituting that 'odd' dash in the disc series might work. p.s. you'll have to rename each file individually, unless you have a renaming utility program |

I'd be tempted to also try:
MMVE201-01 MMVE201-02 MMVE201-03 etc..... Then for the next disc in the series: MMVE202-01 MMVE202-02 MMVE202-03 etc..... Then the entire MMVE201,2,3, etc. should come across as the disc I.D's, with one less character to enter. George |

I guess that would be the most logical solution...thanks. Looks like I'll have to do it manually, unless someone has a suggestion on a good batch renamng utility. No golfing for me tomorrow!

Renaming Zip Files
I found a good batch zip file renaming program. Very easy to use. Free demo.
