You can try that, but do it through the install program. I would not guarantee it will help, but can't hurt to try. I suspect something else is going on with your computer. It would help if you posted some more information about your computer and what version of Hoster you are using.

Does any other Program (other than Hoster) do this also, or just Hoster?

Yes, we need more information. Please read http://www.mtu.com/support/customer-support.htm for what we need to see to give you better and faster support.

How about the computer itself? Desktop or Laptop? Processor? Memory?
Does any other program including Windows programs cause the screen change like maybe Explorer? Especially when accessing the external drive?
Is the external drive powered separately or does the drive get its power through the USB connection?

That could be dragging your computer power supply down which will effect your screen as well. I would say run checkdisk but if it is power then that may not help.

The latest one which would be 3.316 Upgrade. And while you are at it, go to Plextor's website and get their latest firmware update for your 716. This will help too.

James,
I would have never thought of that. Mainly because I have never had to change any programs to run at lower color levels. Glad you found it.
