Song Stops Before Finished

Here’s my problem. I have done 4 shows now with Hoster and every show I have had the same problem. Songs just stop before the song ends. Sometimes it stops in the middle of the song and sometimes just as it starts. It seems to happen around the third and fourth hour of the show. When it stops it is removed from the play list as if the song has finished. I make a note of the song and check it out the next day and it plays fine. This is very frustrating and embarrassing. My system is:

chemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Compaq Presario Laptop

Windows XP Home Edition

Pentium 4 3.0 GHz

384 MG Ram

Creative Audigy 2 NX

120 Gig Seagate external HD

I could be your memory. Hoster needs 512 k of ram. I have a Dell 4000 laptop for backup at home. I use it to import my new music on and then transfer it to my Shuttle computer that I run my Karaoke with. It only has 256k of ram. If I use it at home for any amount of time it has the same problem.

Thanks For The Info

I will try both suggestions. I don't think I have all the latest upgrades. Which upgrades do I need? My intent is to only use this computer for karaoke. So would I need all the security upgrades also. I won't be surfing the net with it. Only to get the upgrades for Hoster and for Windows. Again, thanks for the suggestions.

ALL WINDOWS UPGRADES!!!

Some folks say not ALL, but we even had one customer who didn't download Foreign Language updates and that messed up Windows and Hoster's performance. After doing those updates, everything was fine. Go figure!!!!!!

We hate that Microsoft does this. However, we have to live with it when using Windows.

Make sure that all your drivers are updated also for your Sound Card along with the Windows Updates, or you can have a problem.
