Unhappy hoster 3110 import problems

can someone help me please: Here is my problem
when i try to re-import a zip file i get a message saying that the book ID is already in use then to either type or select another book ID which the program will not let me do
as an example i was reimporting sgb1006-1 because the file was bad so when i tried to reimport track 1 it said the book ID was already in use which it is for the other tracks on the disc
i tried deleting the bad kma file and then reimporting the first track since that would free up track 1 of the book id but this did not work as well i got the same message that the book iID was already in use type or choose another which it will not allow me to do what am i doing wrong? why can i not reimport a bad zip file with the good copy. the program will not reimport over top of it

hoster 3110 import problems update

i think i have found what is causing the reimport zip file problem which i am having
i have had hoster since its infancy and during that time when ever i would import a disc that was not in the data base i would type the brand id in myself and import it
here is the problem i found lets say when importing sgb1106-01 i gave it the brand ID of (Sweet Georgia Brown) but later on when the data base was updated that same disc id was put under the brand name "sweet georgia brown tool pack 20" disc by MTU so now when i try to reimport a song from that disc the program gets confused because now the disc ID is under 2 different brand ID's, the one i created(sweet georgia brown) before it was in the data base and also under (sweet georgia brown tool pack 20 disc) which mtu created in the updated data base
in version 3108 i could still reimport because if i had this problem i could still switch the brand id window to the brand id i had originally created before it was added to the database but now once the program finds a match it finds the one created in the data base but not the one i created but still recognizes that the disc id is in both places but now the program greys out the brand window so you cannot change it to the brand id you had created to put it under before it was put in the updated data base

Jim,
Email me the Songs.mdb file from C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases. Then also email me the .zip file, this is the only way that I can try to fix this.

The exact same thing is happening whenever I try to import CDG files from the hard drive. The KMA file has been deleted but I cannot reimport the cdg file because the book ID has already been used. Even after rebuilding the song data base, the same thing happens.

Exclamation 3110 Import Problems

dave the way i found temporarily to get around this is to change the file name so that it is not recognized by the program then i can reimport under a new disc id number and since it does not recognize the file it then lets me choose a brand name to put it under
i have also found this problem when trying to reimport dk files which are bad
in the early stages of hoster when a dk was not present in the data base i typed it in myself and added it. heres an example i manually imported dk encore disc 3093 with the brand name of just DK when it was not originally in the data base but now is under DKE 3083 in the data base so when i came across a bad import on that disc the other day and tried to reimport, it recognized it under the dke 3083 brand instead of the one i originally gave it when it was not in the data base. it would then let me reimport it but under the dke 3083 brand id so hence now i have dk 3083-09 under book id number 816 but tracks 1-8 and 10-18 under the original book id i gave it #640 and then have to delete the old bad kma file since it did not reimport over it or i have to delete all the tracks and reimport the whole disc again under the new brand id version. 3108 was better at solving this problem since you could still have access to the brand id window but in 3110 they have greyed this window out when the file is recognized by the program and you can not access it to select the original brand id you gave it so that you can reimport it
