Hoster 3.1.08 Demo
Trying evaluation version of the program to see if I like it. When importing tracks, I get a "Item not found in this collection (3265). Would you like to see help?" Clicking either yes or no, the track appears to import. Then a message comes up that says "Cannot find jeterr35.hlp file. Do you want to try to find this yourself" This file does not reside on my hard drive. I can't even evaluate the program. My system configuration is an XP Professional with SP2, AMD 2500+ processor, 512 megs ram, 40 gig hard drive.

Here is a post from Bryan. This should take care of your problem.
Go to the C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases. Find the file songs.mdb, and delete this file. Then open Hoster. It will tell you that the Songs.mdb can't be found, so you must click Yes to rebuild it. Make sure that top folder is set to the Location of your .kma files. Make sure the Database folder at the bottom is set to c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases. Then click the Build Song Database button at the bottom. Once this is done, close Hoster and Reopen it. Let me know if you still are having the same error message. This is a new one to me, I am not sure what is causing it. __________________ Bryan, MTU

This is different, as the Demo version will not actually build the database. It is included within the Installation. Please delete the one on your computer, and then download and reinstall the Demo again and see if that will work.

Hoster 3.1.08 Demo Continued
It won't work. Downloaded the program on 2 separate occasions, Installed, Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Uninstalled, Reinstalled, and Uninstalled...a total of 4 times.
I have Microsoft Access 2000 installed on this machine. Could that have any bearing on anything? I'd really like to buy the Hoster Program and Karaoke Suite 4. But what happens if I can't get it to work? I've already purchased your Microstudio product. I really like that. |

dschwork,
Please download this Songs.zip file to your computer. It is a blank access database, that was created with the latest version of Hoster and let me know if it will then work. The file needs to be unzipped to the following directory: C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases.

No change in response. Thanks for trying. Maybe I'll try it on another computer if I can find one.
