Top Hits Monthly 6 Pack for CAVS

Is it possable to import the songs off Top Hits Monthly mp3g discs into Hoster.? I know they are basically for CAVS units and have a file extension unique to CAVS I guess, but I have a couple discs I would like to try and import.

Thanks

I don't think you can.......CAVS does it's own thing. Won't work with Hoster.

Factory will not yet rule out importing/converting CAVS mcg files or SCDG discs to use in Hoster. We are doing some study work as time is available. Not on the "front burner" yet, but getting our attention. If it is possible, we will attempt to import them.

Once we have the new Hoster 3.110 Import Hard Drive Files screen released, which is MUCH easier to convert CDG, BIN, MP3G and ZIP files, then we can add other types, such as MCG, and other formats. Target to release 3.110 is within 2 weeks.

You can purchase CAV's songs, turn them into CD+G than import it into Hoster. They give you instructions on how to do it. It is a good way to fill in some songs without having to buy a whole disk.

Keep on rockin' MTU

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have to purchase their $30 program to convert them to cdg.

I didn't say it was easy. Yes, you have to buy a program from them called Decoder CDG and download CdrWin. It is a 3 or 4 step process, but once setup it is cheap. They seem to give a discount when you buy a few songs so they end up being like $1.50 a song or something.

This program can also be used with Microstudio, since Microstudio supports the .bin files now. This is available in Microstudio 2.611 versions and later.
