Computer Monitors & TV Monitors
I have recently purchased a Radeon 9250 Dual Display card which I have installed and configured. I am running my computer monitor and a seperate flat monitor for singers. However one of the venues where I am due to begin also has TV monitors, 4 in all. Can I use my S-video out to drive these TV screens. Do I need a RF modulator and will I suffer loss of quality on the TV screens.
So the total running visually will be My monitor (working monitor) The singers Monitor (running from extended windows) S- Video out then through a RF Modulator to 4 Normal TV sets they will need to show the same view as the singers monitor. All these Monitors and TV will be running at the same time. Can you see any problems and can you confirm that all the above is correct. Christian |

I don't know what the age and condition ofthe TV's you are tying into are, but it never hurts to have an RF Modulator, and a signal amplifier in you gear in case you need them. They aren't that expensive, and when you need them, you need them, so it's not a bad $30 to $40 investment. Radio shack is a good source.

As S.Parks stated, it should work fine by using a RF Modulator and Video Splitter to run all of the TV's.

Monitors
I tried a similar set-up a few weeks ago.I too have a radeon graphics card and wanted to connect a 19 TFT Monitor to my laptop for my singers and have a signal going to the TVs.This however will not work as you then have in effect three displays simultaneously.(Laptop Monitor,TFT Monitor and TVs).As soon as i connected the TFT to the VGA slot the TV Signal was deactivated.
If anyone has a solution that i donŽt know i would be glad to hear it.Looks like iŽll be buying 2 19 TFT Monitors and forgetting my TVs(too small).Another solution i was looking into was buying 2 LCD TVs(51cms) as these are getting to be quite reasonable. |

Computer Monitors & TV Monitors
hi I simply use this, [url=http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=152088] i love it, you can use pc monitor for singer and bars tv @ same time, i have mine hooked up to pc for singer, than the rca jacks audio to vcr in and video camera to video in on vcr than video out on vcr I use an rca splitter to send the image to my projector and to bars tv thus recording the singers video image onto vcr tape and audio from mixing board to vcr creating an internally clear audio and no background noise, just make sure your audio to sender unit comes from mixing board rca jacks out so you get the vocals and music mixed it works great and video from camera to vcr, the video from sender unit goes directly to bars tv so words and rotation go there not their image, singers image goes to vcr than to my projector to blow them up on wall bigger than life size, letting them be the star, this allows me to run my 26 dj lightshow for those who like to dance with all the cool lights going on dance floor, and still let the singer get their 4 min song of karaoke stardom in the spotlight, I think I have created an environment, to those who like to sing and those who like to dance, since I have started this a year and half ago, @ one venue I went from having 15 singers to 20 - 30 at times and also from about 10 listeners to 20 - 30 dancers, so I went in all from about 25 patrons in bar to having 40 - 60 patrons in bar one weekend a month that I play their, of course the numbers do vary, it all depends on what else is going on in town of course but never less than 40 in all and sometimes as high as 85 patrons in bar, I did this for 4 months straight and the bar gave me a $75. per night raise no problem, I am now close to $300. per night their, one thing I noticed the singers that sang songs that were not great to dance to started singing more songs you can dance to, helping me to create the dance environment for the nonsingers and singers who like to dance, creating what I call Beyond Just Karaoke, I am in ways not just a KJ but also a DJ in ways, running the lightshow as well as using the projection screen makes everything tie together nicely and all are happy, as well as running a fair rotation schedule, sorry to be longwinded, but to help those reading this understand how everything ties together I felt the story be told to understand the why and howcomes, thank You all for reading, Bruce Jr's Karaoke KJ/DJ Lightshow. Being the best KJ & DJ that I can be.
