How to convert CDGs to KMAs with 3.108 - lots of deletes to make clear

The original started as a CD disk that I imported to my hard drive in MicroStudio. Then, I synchronized the lyrics to the music track using KHPro. When perfected, I saved it as a CDG without any Brand, DiscID,Track, Artist, identification, only the Song Title as the file name with .CDG extension.

The Hoster 3.108 manual states that you need these to be able to import them into Hoster as KMA files.and How do I edit the filename?

I wanted the new Hoster version to convert my KHPro created .cdg files.

PS: I posted a suggestion a while back asking if it were possible to add saving a KHPro created file out as a KMA so it wouldn't be necessary to first save it to a CDG disk to import into Hoster as a KMA. What do you think MTU?

Re: Hoster 3.108 can't Convert CDG I created

How are you naming your Trks?

With the following naming scheme and sequence, I was successful in Importing, from the HARD DRIVE, Karaoke Home Produced Tracks.

Try this as an example:
KHP01-01 - Artist - SongName.cdg

where:
KHP stands for Karaoke Home Produced
01 stands for the Disc Number
- dash with NO SPACES between the DiscID and Trk Number
01 stands for the TRACK NUMBER
- stands for SPACE DASH SPACE
Artist stands for ARTIST
- stands for SPACE DASH SPACE
SongName stands for SONG TITLE
. PERIOD
cdg stands for the EXTENSION

01. FIRST...Place all the Trks, for IMPORT, in a SEPARATE FOLDER.
02. Click IMPORT to open the IMPORT SONGS Window.
03. Click ConvertCDG.
04. Click the RADIO Button on the 2nd choice in the "Presets for filename
.....with DiscID."
05. Click OPEN.
06. Navigate to the FOLDER where you have your KHP Trks.
07. Click on the 1st Track in the Folder - All Trks get added to the Import List
.....Note that the DiscID gets placed into the DISCID FIELD.
08. Select BRAND, which will be *KHProducer Made*
.....Note that when you Select the BRAND *KHProducer Made* the DiscID
.....field goes BLANK.
09. Type into the DiscID Field KHP01 (or whatever your DiscID is)
10. Click BookID Root to assign a BookID.
11. Click SELECT ALL TRACKS or just the Tracks you want to IMPORT.
12. Click PROCESS SELECTED TRACKS.
Done

Re: Hoster 3.108 can't Convert CDG I created

Wow! That was so easy that I got it before you read my message.

I have been filling out things in the wrong order and not re-naming the file correctly.

So now I am working!
