![]() Hi ,i have tried posting a few times with no reply ,but i need my desktop pc registration reset again please. Have tried to re-install but it once again says i have already installed both copies. I read that this problem may be caused by xp changeing its own cd code after end of installation ,weather this is true i do not no .All i do no is i have a way to get around the problem now my makeing a norton ghost image of my drive. So i ask again can you reset my desktop pc registration please so i can do a fresh install and back-up.

Re: re-instalation problems again
MTU must be on to you. they must think (know) your trying to load the software on multiple computers without paying.
no needs to reformat that much. ![]() |

![]() Well i often format to keep my system nice and tidy and i think i am allowed to format as many times as i like. Also i do not like being accused of pirateing. I purchased my copy of hoster and then purchased the 3.0 upgrade and should be allowed to re-install it as many times as i like on my desktop pc and my laptop and no other computer. This is all i have done and all i will do. I was trying to get some sence as to a post i read about the problem i am haveing being due to win xp changeing its cd code automaticlly after you install it and hence hoster thinks you are then trying to install on a diffrent comp.
Thanks for the accuseing. ![]() |

![]() Ok everyone is entitled to there own opinion even if they are wrong. My comp has all the same hardware attached as the last time dave reset my reg for me and just windows like last time ,so i think the bit about xp changeing its cd key after you install it maybe the problem. Ok beavis have you formatted since you bought hoster? And if so did yours go straight back in again?
thanks nath. ![]() |

Re: re-instalation problems again
this is my suggetion to you.
after you reformat, buy an extra hard drive and ghost your fresh version of windows to your extra hard drive. then you wont have to reformat, just swap out hard drives and you will have a fresh version of windows then start the process all over again. this will leave you with a fresh version of windows with hoster on it! make sure you get all windows updates and install all programs before you ghost (nortons ghost) all nortons ghost does is copy your existing hard drive to another without reformatting. |
