Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
did you try re-installing the software?
did you look in your task manager after you rebooted and started hoster to see how many apps were running? you should try and duplicate your problem at home and see if it happens again. |

Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
No I have not reinstalled yet. After reboot there were no apps running until I started Hoster. I have a another show at the same place tonight. I going there this afternoon to look at the computer but I was hoping someone has seen this before and could give me a good starting place.

Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
if i were you i would get over there asap and fix the problem so you dont have to break that "BIG SWEAT" when you have to reboot tonight.
i would bring a portable device tonight incase you have to reboot. at least it wont be quit while your rebooting. the wont know whats going on when the music is playing. |

Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
I believe I'd take my computer with me when I left also. It's not that hard to
set up prior to showtime.. I'm not saying somebody else has had their fingers on it, but can you say for certain no one has? Doesn't sound like this kind of thing just "mysteriously" drops down out of the sky, unless it may be a processor taking a dump or something of the kind. Just an opinion. Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
I'm pretty sure nobody has tampered with it. The hard drive is hot plug so I take it with me when I leave the system setup on site. Plus there are boot passwords. Somebody would have a very hard time tampering with this computer without me knowing about it.

Re: Multiple Hoster Sessions
Good..... Glad you took the precautions.
Anyway, that eliminates tampering as a possibility. I can't find a similar incident in searching the forums. The only thing I can think of would be to go into the control panel and remove Hoster. Then go to the Hoster folder and manually delete .exe file. Don't touch the database, songbook, playlists, and songs folder containing the KMA files. Shut down for a few minutes, then download the program and start out fresh. That should keep you from losing anything, but give you a clean program. If something glitched on downloading/installing, you'd still have the .exe file in the recycle bin to restore. George |
