Downloading versus CD Rom

I would prefer to not download my software updates with my laptop, as I do not have virus protection on my laptop since I never go online except for an update.

My question is:

I could download the update on my home computer that has virus protection, and burn a CD to then install the update on my laptop, but I would then still have to go online to complete the intallation.

If I purchased the CD from MTU instead of downloading it and burning the CD myself, would I still have to go online when I install the program on the laptop from the CD, or is this online step elimininated with the MTU CD? If I still have to go online to complete the installation, I might just as well burn the CD myself.

Re: Downloading versus CD Rom

i think the only way is to go online.

there use to be a way when i first purchased hoster that they would send you a 3 1/2 disc to complete the install.

i think they need to lighten up a little on the install or find a different way so you dont have to go online.

Re: Downloading versus CD Rom

You are wrong in the fact that you need to download updates. You can get a CD Rom instead for $12.00 in addition to the upgrade cost, if any.

Regarding Bonita Springs, all is great here. The place is booming as is all of Southwestern Florida. I built my house here in the nick of time. Property values have gone up so much, I could no longer afford my home if I had to buy the house and lot now.

My canal lot cost $68,000 seven years ago, and is now worth over $350,0000.

However, the Friendly's did not fare well. It went out of business two years ago, and is now a Chinese Restaurant.

you can download windows updates to disc then install them.
