![]() Every time I try to prepare my song book, when I get to the screen that asks if I want to print the entire song book or only the new releases, I click on 'Next' and I get the following error message:
"16 bit Windows Subsystem" "C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS or Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." ![]() It then gives me an option to 'Close' or 'Ignore' both with the same result, which is the termination of songbook creation process. ![]() ![]() Larry T. ![]() |

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
Ltproductions,
Try Printing the Full Release Songbook first. Then click Yes that you printed your books, then try again and see if you get the same error on the Updated Books.

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
do you have a printer installed on that computer. I got that message when I tried it, because it uses your printer driver to format.

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
Hi everyone, thanx for your support! First, I'm running the latest version 2.219, but I've had the same problem with 2 previous versions. Secondly, I do have a printer installed on my machine, it's an HP psc 2110v all-in one. It is the default(and only) printer and it works just fine with everything else. Thirdly, for Bryan, I tried what you said and I still get the same error message.
![]() greatly appreciated. ![]() Larry T. |

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
Mike and Larry, please post your computer configurations, especially your windows version and, if you can remember, a crude estimate of when you last updated Windows.
Since 2 of you are seeing this, there may be a bug that got through our testing. ![]() ![]() We'll look at it immediately! |

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
Ok here is what I found I did wrong it was nothing to do with win xp sp2 the program was looking for the songs and I had pointed it in the direction of the songlist not the actual songs themselves ie songlist is in c:hoster etc whereas my actual KMA files are on D: drive, I therefore changed it to look at D drive to build database and prepare songbook hey presto no problem sorted. It still made a backup in Songlist.
Try this LT point the build datbase to where the actual KMA files are you should be sorted then ![]() |

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
when you go to the Tools menu , Build Songs Database command dialog box, make sure that you have listed the correct drive in the box. You can make multiple entries here if you have KMA files on various drives/folders. There is no expansion of sub-folders under a folder. Each sub-folder must be listed.

Re: Can't prepare songbook!
SweetRed,
Once you do this, you might also want to build the Songs Database by clicking the Build Songs Database button. Then try the Songbook and see what happens.
