Drive Crash . .. . . .

So,
I got hoster, love it. When I first started encoding all of my CDG's I was using an external firewire drive. Well, that drive died after I had done about 16 or so of the CD's. Anyway, gave up on the external drive and started putting all of the songs on the laptop's local hard drive. Well, I didn't start at the same point when I restarted .... (Don't ask, not sure why) Anyway, the end result is, I went back to the firewire drive and got all the of the songs back from those 16discs, but, they are numbered as discs 1-16, and since I restared, I have different discs already inthe database as 1-16. Is there anyway to change the disc numbers (book id number really) for all those tracks, or will I have to reencode them all again ?

Thanks,

Re: Drive Crash . .. . . .

You will need to reimport the First 16 discs that you had done. This is the only way to fix the numbering issue for the BookId's.

FYI, it is possible to use a hex editor and modify the headers of the files to change the book id. Loads quicker than re-ripping all those discs.

That is up to you.

If you skew anything by even one byte, your file is invalid and will show ERROR when you play it. I have no idea what it would do to your Songs Database, but I'm sure "malfunction" is the controlling word.
