how to get cd quality sound out of laptop
yea just hooked up my hp compaq laptop after loadin about 250 disks only 350 to go wanted to know how to get clean sound i hooked up by running from headphone jack into my peavey board but i was gettin a hummin sound from my speakers just wondered if a usb sound card would elimiate that prob. by the way new version 2.209 rocks processor is 2.4 gig and 704 ram

tiggallen,
Do a search on "ground loop" in the MTU Forum. Several people have experience the "hum" problem and it was cleared up by lifting the ground side of the power cord going to the laptop. This may be your problem. Gary |

Go to Radio Shack and get a "ground loop eliminator"( I think that's the correct name for it). This will fix your problem.

actuaLLy the best bet is a product called the "hum eliminator". I bought mine from a local Guitar center in the pro audio department. I would trust it before a rat shack product.

fixed prob was the ground just plugged into adaptor and was fixed thnks everyone by the way the new version 2.212 rocks MTU KICKS ASS
