We have a problem

First, the email you are registered with in the Forum doesn't match any customer record we have. Luckily you gave your city/state in the Forum so I was able to track you down after 15 minutes of my time. I hope you appreciate what I had to do to help you.

Please go to your Forum registration (click user cp button above to do this), and change your registration email to your "hotmail" address you used to order. Then, we can locate your records in the future should you need our help.

My guess is your Windows ME computer doesn't have a network (Ethernet) card. However, if you have RoadRunner, you have a network card.

Please read this http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=4036 for what to do for this problem.

If this is not the answer, please give us more details of what you are doing. I see that your 2.604 version is installed. Is it you can't run it? If so, do you see the error message "Serial Number does not match registration", or something like this? Give us more to work with so we can help you.

Microsoft has discontinued support for ME. You need to buy a new computer that runs Windows XP Home or Pro. MTU will stop supporting Windows 98SE and ME before the end of 2004. There are too many problems cropping up, just like this one, for us to continue support. We have no choice but to drop 98SE and ME.

failure to match registration with serial #

First, I have correspondence from your president, David Cox dated 7/5/2004 with copies to you at my present e-mail address.
I also had previous a microstudio program. A letter from David Cox on 5/14/2004 stated my purchase of Microstudio 2.312 October 29, 2001. So I can't understand why you had a problem with my address.
But getting back to the problem with the installation I find that I'm not alone as I have read several questions pertaining to this problem on your forum. As far as not running on ME, why was this not stated at the time of the new upgrades being issued?
Is there no way that I can load my CD at this time? Please inform.

I am David Cox.

If you check the prior emails, you will see they are not the same email address as your Forum registration. You emailed me. I answered you outside of the Forums in supporting you and answering your questions.

I am sorry you misunderstood my post. The problem that I stated above as my first sentence is that you used a DIFFERENT address to register in the Forums than you have ever used to purchase with.

As is our stated Privacy Policy, we ABSOLUTELY hide your identity in our Forums. Only our staff can find out your email. That is the problem, the email is all I had to go on to try and solve your problem... if we can access your customer database record.

Because you gave your City/State in the Forum, I finally found your record after spending 15 minutes so I could support you for free. Forgive me. I guess my frustration in spending so much time just to identify you so I could help, showed in my post.

As to our stopping support of Windows 98SE and ME, we didn't know we would run into this problem... until it surfaced. I hope you understand that. In the life of any product, there is a point where we must move on, instead of wasting LOTS of time trying to overcome the problems the older OS is creating. We now realize we are at that point with 98SE and ME. We will do everything we can to get our current users running. If we can't we will refund your money... if you purchased the upgrade.

Now, back to your original post. Please answer the questions I asked above so we can help you. Without the answers, we can't help further.

failure to operate microstudio

I apologize for the confusion about the address. I guess I got a little frustrated over the fact that after downloading several problems in the past, including my previous microstudio and Keyrite programs I couldn't succeed.
Everything went normal with download until the download appeared successful and I launched the program and the pop-up said serial and registration # does not agree.
My computer is a Dell Dimension 4100 using Msn Millenium OS
and Roadrunner connected to my USB.
If adding an Ethernet card will solve the problem I will gladly do it.
Is there something in the ME program that I can go to Windows and get an upgrade or some advice?
