Problem with Plextor Px-w5224TA

I recently purchased a new Plextor Certified PX-W5224TA. I also purchased the newest version of Microstudio 2.517. Microstudio doesn't recognize the new drive as a CD/RW it says it is a CD/R. I have a P4 2.5 and Windows 98. Any help would be appreciated.

Microstudio will not use any CD-RW functions, so any drive to Microstudio should be a CD-R.

Where are you referring to this showing up? If the drive is showing under Microstudio, and showing Yes under Karaoke then everything is working for you.
