System Error #1

Just finished installing Hoster and got this error message. It says to contact MTU. I didn't see this issue covered in any of the other messages. Does anyone have a fix for this?

What version are you running

It sounds like you are installing Hoster 1.208 as we changed the error message text in 2.011. You should have the new 2.011 CDROM by now. If not, email MTU (see our Contacts page) and report you did not receive the upgrade CDROM. Please include your correct shipping address. We will verify we shipped to the correct address, or send it again.

The error message you are seeing appears if:

1. AFTER HOSTER WAS INSTALL CORRECTLY AND RUN - If you remove your network (ethernet) card, or it has been disabled somehow, and then you try to run an installed version of Hoster you will see this error message.

2. INSTALLING A HOSTER UPGRADE ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER - You are trying to install an upgrade of Hoster on a computer that Hoster was not initially installed on. Once you install Hoster to a selected Network card, it will only run on a computer with that Network card installed.

3. INSTALLING A HOSTER UPGRADE ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER - You may be trying to install Hoster on a second computer, after it has been installed on another earlier. Once Hoster has been installed (see #2 above) it is locked to that Network card.

4. AFTER HOSTER WAS INSTALL CORRECTLY AND RUN - You are running Hoster on a computer that is attached to a bridged network with other computers. It use to run but now all of a sudden it won't and gives this error message. Hint: If you don't understand "bridged network" you are not running on one!

There may be some other conditions that will be added later to this Post. If you do not fit into any of these 4 categories, please post when you see the error...

A. When you try to install Hoster, or

B. When you try to run a copy that was running before and fails now.
