Exclamation ERROR ~ Micro studio

We are having major problems with both Micro Studio and Vogone with Vogone you can only import WAV files therefore we purchased Microstudio to change files from Audio CD's into WAV. However in doing this when clicking on Import All Tracks it stops for a second and then there is the word ERROR where record was previous. Can anyone help us please?????

Do Other Programs Have "Wave Ripping Troubles"?

I'm curious. Have you tried other programs?

There are a number of programs (non-MTU competitors) that will make wave files. It is hard for me to believe that you don't have another program besides Microstudio that will do it. Whatever came with your cd-recorder should be able to make wave files. Musicmatch jukebox offers a basic free version over the internet that will not only rip to waves but in a lot of cases name your files for you before you rip them. (It accesses a cd identification system over the internet-Microstudio does not)

If you tried other programs, but unsuccessfully, then perhaps the solution is not based in reconfiguring Microstudio. If you have been successful with other programs, but not Microstudio then I have not addressed your exact problem but someone else might benefit from this tip. Good Luck in any case and try Musicmatch if you have not already.

Things to try...

If the track that you are trying to read reports ERROR, it is because it cannot be read. What you are "briefly" reporting is normal operation for Microstudio in the following conditions.

First, make sure you are not importing a Mediacloq protected disc. Look at the center hub hole. If you see in very small print the word Mediacloq around the hole, you cannot read this disc into a computer as it is copy protected.

Second, the track may be damaged on the CDG or CD disc. If it is a CDG disc and that song has a scratch in its recorded area, it CANNOT be read and will report ERROR.

Third, if it is a Multisession protected disc, it will have addition data at the end of the last track. All other tracks can be Imported as individual tracks (cannot Duplicate Disc though). There are posts in this Forum how to read the final "protected" track also.

Please post back here what you find.
