During Inport Songs-CDR/CDROM device not ready.

I have the latest Hoster version and a Win 7 laptop. When I try to import songs, it will load them to the program, but when I try to import them I get the message: " CDR/CDROM device not ready. Please insert a disc and try again."

I have tried with CD disabled as per instructions and with it enabled. I had problems with a virus and and coundn't even open Hoster, but that was fixed and I thought I had every thing working until I tried to Import songs from a CD. I can import from the same computer using MicroStudio.

Would you please provide guidance on how I can fix the computer and or program.

Thanks,
Wes

P.S. Thanks for including the * back in the program.

Test your cdrom drive (bad/good)... make sure your cdrom is the same (Read Drive) & (Write Drive) click save and try again!

RIKKI

Thanks for the quick response. I used the Hoster Tools to check the drive and it indicated GOOD. It also has worked in the past. My quess is it's computer software related.

Re: During Inport Songs-CDR/CDROM device not ready.

Figured your drive would be ok, since it worked with Microstudio... I use 3 different drives to play, read, write CDG's, and once in a while I forget to change to the correct drive letter, and I receive the same error that you received, "Drive Not Ready", until I check the correct drive that I wish to use to rip the disk with, then the error message is gone... sounds like you have done all this before... and it still is giving you the error message?

Read this in the faq: http://www.mtu.com/faq-test.php?article=80

Best to reboot the computer after doing this as well.

ROY,

Once again you saved the day. Your instructions worked; don't know why, but it did.

Thanks,
Wes
