Changing Playlists afer the Songs Are Edited

I put together a Christmas Playlist and after I ran through some songs, I used edit to change some information for the songs. When I re-open the playlists the edit was not on the play list songs. I know I can add the edited song to the playlist and then delete the old song, but is there another way to change the information on the songs on the playlist?
