Thumbs up mouse pointer disappears - it was being moved off screen

I hope someone can help me out here about once a night my mouse pointer will disappear from the hoster main screen. I can see it appear on my extended desktop but it will not do anything. the only way I can get it back is to reboot the computer. There is no kind of pattern to the problem it just does it occasionaly. Anyone else have this happen. I only noticed it after I updated to version 5.0

Toshiba L675 laptop
Intel i3 4gb ram 500gb harddrive.
Windows 7

Re: mouse pointer disappear

Usually manage to just drag it back, Are you using mouse or touch pad ?
Have you checked the settings in mouse properties ?
You can find this from the control panel.
Check the settings Pointer options tab, Where the snap to option is (automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box) does this box have a tick in it ? if so un-tick it see if this helps.
If using the touch pad check the "Device settings Tab" then Settings, in the left window click the + to expand options for "Pointing" then "Pointing enhancements" check the settings for "Sticky borders" Also check Edge motion region

Re: mouse pointer disappear

Sorry I have not had time to check back. I had a show saturday night went through the whole evening with no problems. Yes it is a wireless mouse but I put fresh batteries in it the first time it happened. The only thing I noticed saturday is I lost my pointer once but rapidly moving the mouse around brought it back. I'm at a loss been useing Hoster for a year now and this just started a couple of weeks ago. I will check the mouse settings and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Re: mouse pointer disappear

Kuelman,

If you move to the right too far with your mouse (Off your screen), it will appear on your Singers Monitor (it has happened to me too).

When it does, drag your mouse back to the left until it again appears on your laptop screen.

If this is not the problem, thne I don't know how to help you...

Thumbs up Re: mouse pointer disappear

kod

I think you nailed it after playing around with Hoster this morning it is just as you described. I'm not sure why it took me a year to have it happen but if I keep dragging to the left it will reappear. Thanks for the help.

Re: mouse pointer disappear

Things happen.
Habits change.
Windows Upgrades change the world (not always positive).
Thus is life...

Glad you have confidence in your Hoster again.
