MS Access
I used to be able to open the 'Songs.mdb' with MS Access 97. For the last 4 years, I have not been able to do that. Will updating to MS Acsess 2003 or 2007 fix the problem? Running Windows XP with about 16,000 songs in the database. Songs are on an external 250GB drive. This problem occurs on 3 different computers all running MS Access 97.
Thanks |

Re: MS Access
I have Ms Access 2000 and have no problem opening the Songs.mdb.
Do you get a message or an error when you try to open it ?

Re: MS Access
Mtu does not recommend doing this. The later versions will open it. However if Access asked if you want to convert it to the newer version say no. If you convert it this will mess it up.
Also be aware that if you make any changes to the database those changes will be gone if you rebuild the database.

Re: MS Access
Happy New Year Guys. I installed MS ACCESS 2007 and can now open the database with no problem. Thanks again for all your help.
