Adding Songs to Singer Database

When you right click in the playlist the 4th option is to "add to ___ songs". The blank is filled in with the name of the singer shown in the singers column, for my purpose here, I'll use Joe. Since it says "add to Joe's songs", I have presumed it would add the song to the singer database but it doesn't. It appears to only add the singer's name if they are not already listed.

If that is the case, the option is confusing as the option appears no matter which column you right click on. I know I can type in the book id and then ctrl and S+ to add a song to just the singer database but I'm always hoping for an easier way to add songs to the singer list. I do "forget" the S+ option many times.

Thanks for your help and for a great program!

Re: Adding Songs to Singer Database

Yes it should add that song to the singers list, you may not see it appear right away in the singers list from the search option envelope if it is already open but should appear after closing and re opening.

check also from the singers button/ Songs.

Double check to see if they have added after re opening the singers list if not then something not right with yours.

Re: Adding Songs to Singer Database

Hoster 5.20.2 is the version...sorry, should have stated that in the original post.

I just tried again, closed the program , restarted and the song is there. Added another and it appeared immediately.

Being the curious person I am, couldn't figure out why it would work sometimes and not others.

The problem was I was using an older playlist. When I used a playlist created with this newer versions the song was added immediately.

Thanks for your help. Sure does make adding songs from playlists easier

Re: Adding Songs to Singer Database

I take it that the songs you are selecting from the playlist are songs that have been imported into Hosters database. Only it doesn't work if they are songs loaded via the k-oke, audio or video buttons.
