New HP pavilion Laptop sound proplem
I am having a setup problem with new laptop. Using windows 7, 64bit connecting to TV via HDMI. I get sound to the TV but my mini jack signal is disabled. I don't really need sound to the TV and I do need the mini jack to be active so sound can be routed throught my mixer. This computer does not have s-video only HDMI and VGA. My tv has HDMI, composit and component. What is the best way to connect to tv and still have sound throught the mini jack?

Re: New HP pavilion Laptop sound proplem
First research and check your sound settings for Windows 7 and see if there is a way to send the sound to both or selectively. I don't use Windows 7 so don't know if there is a way to do this.
If not then use VGA to an adapter which has VGA in to RCA (composite) out for the TV.

Re: New HP pavilion Laptop sound proplem
From the control panel in classic view select sound, then select playback tab, right click in the main dialog window and tick "Show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devises". Now if you see HDMI audio right click it and select disable. Then look for speakers high definition audio right click then choose "default device".
Then from Hoster tools tab audio controls in that window is two boxes make sure the playlist audio card are Speakers and not digital. Roy. Last edited by Roy Dennis; September 19th, 2010 at 02:35 PM. |
