Song Data Base Duplicates

When I imported from my zip files to kma creating my song data base in kma I must have done some of the same folder-files twice converting to kma. I was getting a bit eager because it worked so well. I have no clue on how many but I did notice 1 that was the same name, track and manufacture. So I guess I did a boo boo.
When I was doing a search for song I saw 2 the same name, track and manufacture.

Is there a way to delete the copies in the data base of kma files without cheching each one at a time?

Only way to delete the duplicates would be through the Edit Songs. No there is no easy way to do this.

Thanks

I suspected your suggestion may be the solution but thanks for the comfirmation. I'll have to keep an eye on whenever I search for a song and come upon a duplicate. I'll have to take care of it right than.

Best way I can think of is in Edit Songs do an alpabetical search and scroll down looking for duplicate Titles and then check to see if the information matches for artist, brand and track. If you find one delete it.

If you have and are using MicroStudio, you can delete the dups in it. Import the KMA files, sort by title and size your columns to display all the info. Scroll through the list & delete the duplicates & then rebuild the database in Hoster. Worked for me!!

Bendrew his problem is because he imported the same zip files twice but obviously not with the same DiskID as that would have made Hoster re-import with exactly the same BookID and imported over the current file. Your program will not work to find this type of duplicates. Either Edit Songs in Hoster or Microstudio will have to be used to be able to read the header information and find the duplicates.

Based on this program, it will removed files that has the same name and size. So, after removing duplicates, you build database Just a suggestions and it work for me on duplicate folders and files..

That would be ok if the files were named the same, but they wouldn't be. KMA filenames are DiskID-Track.KMA. In his case he imported the same folder twice but with different DiskIDs. If he had used the same DiskID the second import would have over-written the first set of files. This is because Hoster doesn't allow two different BookIDs to have the same DiskID.
