Upgrade to 4.11

When I first started Karaoke with the computer (from my discs), I had soooo many problems, so I played it safe for the past year or so with Hoster 3.321 (if it ain't broke, don't fix it...some would say)...however, I want to make a new songbook with 2 columns and I'm thinking it's time to catch up!
If I want to go from my current 3.321 to the new 4.11....First I guess I'll have to purchase at the total price, but then do I start over from scratch (un-install 3.321)? Or do I upgrade right from the 3.321? How does that work?

i think you have to buy the upgrade, since you have the earlier version, you can just upgrade once you buy it, you have to leave your older version .

Debbie, it is possible to format your books as 2 columns with version 3.21 using either Microsoft Word or Works Word Processor, but I don't think you can skip the book id in that version.

I no longer have version 3.21 but I have always printed my books as 2 columns when I did have it. Having said this why not try the Free demo of 4.11, there are a lot more features to use including extra song book printing options.

To print in two Columns with 3.21
If you have Microsoft Word on your computer, open Word. From the "Format Tab" you should see "Columns" select 2, there are other options shown in this window like line between and spacing, that is your choice when done click "OK". Now Open Hoster click the Hoster songbook tab, on the window that pops up at the bottom "Select Viewer" now you have to brows to "Winword EXE." I think it shows the file location at the bottom of the window for Word. Select the radio buttons for the way you wish to print your books and click Create. Then Cick the View Tab. You should now see your song book in Word as 2 column display.

If you do not have Word you can do the same with Microsoft Works Word Processor which is located at C:\Programm Files\Microsoft Works\WksWP.exe.

I believe you can upgrade 3.21 to 4.11.

Before you upgrade be sure your computer is up to it. Check the requirements on the Video Hoster page and make sure your processor is fast enough and you have enough memory.
There have been a lot of new things added since 3.321 and they do need more processing time.
To upgrade purchase the "Upgrade" version not the "Full" version. You leave your version 3.321 on the computer and choose the "Upgrade" choice in the installer. Don't do this a day before a show as you will need some time to get familiar with the changes.
You will not be starting over as all your song files and database will all still be there, so no you are not starting over.
