songs not deleting

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but I have noticed that in version 4.10 when playing karaoke, video, etc that when it is stopped before it has finished playing it won't allow you to delete it. The only way I can delete it is by restarting the program. Am I doing something wrong?

Also it is not letting me delete songs that I have added while a previous song is playing....

You cannot delete any entry while a song is playing.

To clarify, you can't delete a song above the song playing.

We had this ability prior to the latest release. We could delete a played or unplayed song from the playlist at any time except for the one that was playing. I liked having this ability. Is there a reason why it was changed?

Seems again another trade off, for a feature i found to be very useful, for a couple i can live without. I am glad they did get the title screens to the SAV's fixed though. Maybe folks will stop having a melt down when their SAV's start. I have a singer who insist on singing SAVA05-10. I have a great version on MM6088-2. But he insist on the SAV.

This will be looked at again when they work on 4.20 along with some other things. There just isn't enough time right now for them to delve into the problem so they fixed to keep any crashing from happening by greying it out during play. Instead of trying to delete them then just Skip them (and move them above the current playing song if you don't want them confusing you) and delete them later when you have time.

I can understand. I am also a programmer (my "real" job).

Thanks for the advice.

Yes, it turns out if you were to delete a song ABOVE the playing song (while it was playing), it could cause the Playlist to be unstable and the playing song mess up big time.

We hear you. What we need to do is add a lot of error checking and allow deleting songs BELOW the playing song, or either add more error checking and re-architecting the Playlist code to allow deleting songs in the Playlist above or below the playing song. With all the energy added into 4.10 and 4.11, we simply didn't have time to correct this delete problem. A change or "fix" of this magnitude really needs 4-6 weeks of beta testing to iron out all the wrinkles, and we did'nt have tha luxury.

Is it possible to become a Beta tester? Testing is one of my specialties in my job. I write and test my own software before I release it to end users.
