Gentlemen, we are on Holiday and Bryan our support manager has the Flu and I have been in bed for a day. I hope you can appreciate these facts and be patient with us.
The fact that 2 of you are having this problem is significant. Public Forums are great, and I thank each of you for visiting and posting.
- I have posted an answer to DJLiveMike's Microstudio post this morning, and upgraded my "problems and solutions" Thread under Microstudio. I want all of you to go to this Thread at: http://mtu.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=151 and do all the suggestions there. Perform the DXDIAG test and email the results of all your tests to MTUSUPPORT.
- In future posts, please be specific. Just saying your computer is locking up gives us no data at all to diagnose with. Our goals is to solve problems. If we have no information from you, your frustration is clear but our ability to help is zero until you provide more information.
- When you send your email to us, please clearly identify the program you are speaking of. DO NOT combine problems from Microstudio and Karaoke Home Producer in the same email. That way we can separate out each product's problems to the appropriate programmer.
- What can you do with the program not just what doesn't work? If we know that part of it is working, that is significant knowledge to use in diagnosing what is wrong.
- What are the steps you are executing before the problem occurs? The more accurate you are, the better is our diagnosis. If we can duplicate the problem, it will be solved very quickly. If we cannot duplicate the problem, we are shooting in the dark as to why your system is having the problem.
- What error message appears, if any?
- Include any other relevant information you can think of to help us.
Given the very large number of users who are not experiencing a lockup condition, this does not "appear" - again I say "appear" - to be a sofware problem, but rather an integration/system related problem. I expect each of you will end up having a separate solution that is not related to the software.
I will be the first to eat my words if I am wrong, but my 30 years experience is speaking here, along with the large number of users not having this problem.
We are nearing final release of a new version with the Play code totally rewritten. I will be very interested in your results as soon as you can get and run this new version.
