I want to play along with my guitar but I noticed the trackd are a little flat. Anyboby have this same problem or ideas/ Thanks

This is going to be your soundcard and/or soundcard software.
If you are using an onboard card that came with the computer you may only have the generic windows controls (no equalizer I don't think), if so your'e probably stuck with your mixer pots or other eq method.
If you added a sound card to your computer it it usually comes with software for it and usually an eq.

You just need to adjust the different frequencies to make it sound like you want. A lot of software will come with presets for rock, pop etc. and then you can just tweak from there if needed

Hi wade,
I think perhaps Sam is misinterpreting your question. When you say "Flat", i am going to go out on a limb here and assume you mean, since you play guitar, flat in tuning. Or basically a little flat of the music. Is that correct? I think our friend Sam was referring to flat as in sound, and that is why he mentioned the eq and sound card. Neither of which will help your situation. I to play "guitaroke" several times an evening, and i was at first frustrated with the "Out Of Tune" "Flat" and "Sharp" issue as well. First off, this is not a hoster problem., or a computer problem. All cd players are just a tad different in, for lack of a better word "Speed". Are you using a guitar tuner wade? If you are, and you should be, you can easily compensate for this tuning situation, by simply tuning up or down to your music. Always use the same CD burner to burn your backup tracks to hoster. I myself use a product called "Band In A Box". Works fantastic, burn the tracks, and the software can be tuned sharp or flat. You may not be able to tune standard 440 for your tracks. I find i temper tune at 441.6 for guitar, and 442 for pedal steel guitar. Good luck. If i can be of any help at all, just give a yell. Incidently, there are many great free sites for guitar backing tracks, i also create my own with band in a box. I would be willing to share these if you need any tracks.Best of luck George

Yes, thank you so much. That's exactly what I mean. I have been actually just tuning to the music, just wanted to know if there was something I was overlooking that I could control with the software or my computor settings? I will also look into "Band in a Box". Thanks for the tips George!!!
