importing hard drive files

Had to re-insgtall Hoster on a new laptop (Vista). Saved all my kma files to an external computer but now having trouble bringing the files back to the new computer. I've followed (I thought) the "help" section on how this is done . . . but I've apparently goofed somewhere. Any help out there?

If you want your .kma files on your Hoster computer, open the folder containing them, from the edit menu select all. Then open drive C. then the MTU folder then right click the Kma folder and select paste.
When finished open Hoster, go to Tools Menu and select Songs database, from this box select rebuild, from the next box delete any folders showing and then the Add Folder and brows to the folder you just put them in. and press select. then press the rebuild songs database.

If you want to run with the songs from your external USB drive, Just browse from the rebuild folder to your external drive then click rebuild.

Hope this helps.

Also, if this is a new computer with Vista, be sure to do all the items listed here as well as what Roy said.

Thanks, guys! Somehow, I managed to get the job done shortly after posting the problem here. I should add that my new laptop w/VISTA is working just fine. I'm thinking MS worked out any bugs in the version that came with the new laptop. Well, "so far, so good" anyway. Appreciate the suggestions.

Microsoft has never shipped a perfect version. You should always check periodically to see if there are any new updates.
