Keeping You're LapTop Cool **(The Best)**

Heat is a LapTop's worse enemy and can cause lockUp's in a show, not to mention the premature Death of you're most important asset.

You have USB hard drive to backUp you're important data.

You should have a good cooler to backUp the smooth operation of you're LapTop.

Here is the best I have bought out of the three I have.

There is a plus for doing outdoor events in early fall and damper climates. If that pc's internal fan kicks on sucks in some cool damp air and fogs up the hard drive it can drive you blood pressure up a tad.

With the cool pad, the fan usually does not come on.

Hi swany

The Main reason for the fan is to keep you're laptop processor cool so if you're doing an outdoor Gig in cool damp climates then you may not need to turn on the fan also rainy weather @ beach parties could be Hazardous to you're computer so plan carefully on any outdoor events.

But for the most part having the fan is better then not having it because for the majority of the time most DJ/KJ are doing shows indoors where even in the winter months it could be hot inside especially if you got the crowd dancing so having a fan to keep that busy processor cool is you're only life insurance policy for longevity and a stable openation.

Heat is the enemy of all electronics

Although no good for a laptop, I use a retro-fitted twin window fan on the back of my eqiptment rack to keep all my equiptment, including 2 desktop computers, relatively cool. After shutdown I leave the fans on for an extra 5 or 10 minutes to finish cooling things off before I close up the rack and put the computers in their carrying cases.
