External Hd Unreckognized

I Just Selected The First Song To Open The Show And It Poped Up This Message: Unrecognized Device. It Is The Same I've Been Using I Unplugged And Plugged Back But It Didn't Work.
Can Somebody Help Me?

are you sure the hhd is on before you powered up your pc ? plug your hhd in and re start your comp, if that doesn't work, you gonna have to go to control panel and do the add hardware /device wizard..

Is the drive showing inWindows Explorer? If not then Windows is not recognizing that it is plugged in. Try a different USB cable. If it is try running Checkdsk on it to make sure the drive is ok.

Thank U Ddouglass And Billyo.
I Solve The Problem, Was Very Simple Mistake That I Overlooked: The Power Cable Was Not Plugged All The Way In In The Power Source Conditioner But, What Is Weird Is That The "on" Light Indicator On The Hd Was On. That's Why I Discarded The Conection As The Cause Of The Problem.
